John's family reunion is on Sunday. We have to go to London, KY, which is about 3 hours away. We're leaving at around 6:30 a.m., stopping to get breakfast in Lexington, and then heading down there. We're supposed to leave London around 2-3 p.m. and head back here, another 3 hours back. We really won't be gone *that* long, it's looking like around 12 hours or maybe a little less... but it's the longest I'll have had to leave all the kittens alone! I know they'll be fine, they've got their mommas to look after them. I'm just really sad about being gone from them for so long this time! I feel silly because it's not like we're going to be gone overnight or anything, but I'm still sad!

Do you work outside the home-think how many hours the cats are left alone then!! They will be very happy to see you when you come home. Have a good time at the reunion.

I actually don't. I've been looking for a job around here, but for now my days are usually spent here cleaning and looking after all the animals. I think the longest I've been away from the kittens since they were born is maybe 8 hours.

Just think all that time alone will give them an opportunty to plan mischief! And to realize how much they love their meowmy. They will be fine....they'll probably handle the separation better then you will!

Can you get someone to come in for a while to play with them?
