Moritz On YOUTube

Hello everyone, this is Moritz and I am new here. I live in Spain, the Canary Islands. This picture was taken last year, when I found a very nice home and just showed up at the garden of Semmy. I look for other cute cats who want to be featured at my blog with their own free cat puzzle game. Please contact me for further details, and I hope to make lots of friends here!

Welcome, welcome, welcome! Tell us all about how the Canary Islands got their name! (I know it had nothing to do with Canaries.) And as strange as it may seem or as unlikely as it may seem, I am waiting right now for a package to arrive from there. I wonder if you can guess what it is? Anyway, welcome to TCS, the international appeal of cats is truly amazing.

You did order our famous honey rum?!

http://www.grancanaria.com is a very informative site
that gives you almost any information you want to know.

In a Berber dialect of north Africa, the islands are called Tkanaren. The islands may derive their name from this word, or possibly from the Latin term Insularia Canaria, meaning Island of the Dogs, a name applied originally only to the island of Gran Canaria. It is thought that the dense population of an endemic breed of large and fierce dogs, like the Presa Canario, was the characteristic that most struck the few ancient Romans who established contact with the islands by the sea.
