I know you keep your kitties indoors, Betsy... so may I ask... why did he need to be cooler? Are you one of those annoying people who don't need air conditioning in the summertime?

Please give poor Ferris a hug for me... what an ordeal.

Mr Ferris is a fashion plate - all the neighbourhood cats are going to be clamouring for the "Ferris" cut soon!

What were they thinking??!!? Why would they not shave him so he at least looks like a big strong lion?? They cut that much fur off they might as well just make it a lion cut!
they went most of the way to a lion cut, and they thought any more would traumatize him?!?

Well, he's still the handsome Mr Ferris, and if you squint he looks like a lion
...a lion wearing leg warmers!! At least there's no more belly mats. Who knew he had such a cute little body under all that fluff.

I don't know, but I like it!

Yes, I AM one of those people.

I suffer from having to sit under a vent that blows too-cold air from the A/C at the office the entire day, I freeze the whole summer and I like my summer to actually be HOT, so I just use fans at home.

Dressing for work in July and August is tough, because I have to wear LONG SLEEVES to the office, then I die when I go outside to get lunch.

Update:
This morning Ferris was loving all up against me - he is BEGGING to be petted, I think he likes how the cut feels, and he seems to be VERY happy this morning! Yay!

They have me mad now, they RUINED my beautiful Ferris's lion look.
I just want to snuggle him to make him feel better....

Poor baby.
Looks like a drunken sailor tried to shave him and passed out before he got done.

But as long as he is cooler, that's okay.

He's still an adorable guy, but I can't get over them giving you a hard time over a lion cut and then doing most of one anyway. No offense to the handsome Mr Ferris, but he reminds me a little of this

Oh lord... I'd forgotten you live so far north, but still... I've been in Texas so long, to me air conditioning is nothing less than a lifesaving device! To be able to open a window in the summer...!

If I ever win the lottery, I'm packing up my whole family and moving to the Arctic Circle!
