I'm thinking of ordering a few, will they fit kittens? (like 2-3 months old)

please share any pics of your cats wearing one, I can't decide on what designs I want.

We used the beastie bands for a while. We had the red one with the mouse & cheese print and the black one w/ the crazy cat print
-- got them from from The Cat Connection: http://www.thecatconnection.com/page...L/BEASTIEBANDS

$6.95/each free shipping, but they can't always guarantee the color combos -- not a big deal to us. It's soft fabric
& can be trimmed to size with scissors & secures w/ velcro closure
-- so no worries about getting caught/trapped by hooking onto something, which was a big safety worry for us.

I like the ragtime pet collars but I noticed they are very wide for kittens. The beastie bands work well with my cat that HATES collars. it's soft, flexible and can come in lots of varieties search the net for variables, or purchase one through the catconnection. You can also get a slide on tag for those beastie bands too.

ps luxor is wearing a beastie band in my signature

Oliver's collar is from ragtime as well! She has TONS of fabric selections and will even go shopping for a particular fabric for you if you don't see something you like on her site - she did that for me because I just wanted a plain royal blue for Oliver (it's his "color" haha)... I also like that you can have the ragtime ones embroidered... I haven't used beastie bands, but wanted to give my 2 cents on collars... maybe you could get the beasties for when they're babies and then ragtime ones once they're grown (I know the ragtime ones are a little more expensive than beasties, but I promise they're worth every penny!) Oh and she uses the break-away clasps on the cat and kitten collars and they really do work!

Here's a link to the ragtime picture gallery site where Oliver is pictured in the collar she made for him (second row, pic all the way on the right)

i used the beastie bands before i found ragtime collars, which i now prefer, so had several 'used' beastie bands left over... they're easy to cut down, both length & width wise. that's what i'll use for Firefox until she gets big enough for a ragtime collar. i happen to have a spare ragtime collar because i changed Java's to a different one [didn't like how the other looked on her, color-wise]. i think the spare will be a good color for Firefox, too. mine also all have tags from boomerang tags [except for Firefox, but she'll be getting one!]. their tags have their names, my home & vell numbers, & a message that reads 'if you see me outside, i am lost; reward'.
i can also attest to the breakaway collar clasp working - i've come home to a collar-less cat more than once!

ETA: Firefox is wearing a beastie band in my sig. i get mine from a place that allows you to specify color combos. i'll try to find the link for you.

ETA2: here it is! http://shop.robbinspetcare.com/cats/beastiebands.html
