This seems odd to me...

Where to begin...ok, when we got our cat from friends, she would sit on her bum, put a paw in a certain place, & lick her belly near her nipples. Sometimes her nipples look a little chaffed (sp?). It was really funny to us at first, because, well frankly, it looked like she was trying to pleasure herself. Now, we are just a bit confused.

She still does it...everyday, a lot. I know she's had trouble cleaning her back area since she's overweight, but I don't know what else would explain this.

Anyone's cats do this? Or know why a cat would??

I have no idea! It could be that she is just cleaning herself? If it's looking sore there at all, maybe a trip to the vet would help you get it figured out. I'm sure someone will come along with good advice, and has been through this before. Good luck!

If the nipples are chaffed, then I would suggest a trip tot he vet. Maybe she has dry skin? Maybe there's some sort of odd-ball infection? I dunno, try the vet though, sounds like it may be a health issue...
