Oh, I love astronomy and I am so jealous! My grandfather had pictures he took of Saturn through his telescope (back in the day) and they just fascinated me. One of these days I'm going to get one too.

I hope you have fun with your new toy. I know my hubby would love one, but not mush to see with Toronot's air quality and being on a flight path for the airport.

are you going to look at the space station tonight, Bruce? they said on the radio it should be visible at 9:40 p.m. moving west to east, but I'm not sure if its in the northern or southern sky

Hey that's awesome! I want one of those. I currently have a 'cheap' one that my DH got. I've had trouble with the mount. It doesn't move smoothly and I end up loosing what I've been looking at and have to find it all over again.

WOW, that looks great. It will be fun for you to watch the wide open sky at night..let us know what you find up there.

oh yea, i had a cheap one for years. then moved around to much to get a nice . Finally i got a nice one, used that for several months, but then of course as it goes, i wanted a even better one. i dont think i can get much bigger without going to a perment set up

I emailed the link to my husband. He will be so jealous. He's wanted a good telescope for some time.

Right now we have one he got for free from someone, and you can't even see the moon with it! It's pretty bad.

Can I ask how much you paid for it? I'm guessing I'm going to have to spend at least $500 for a good one. But I feel bad wanting to get another since DH got that for me for my birthday 2 years ago. It was the best present he's ever gotten me too! He completely thought it up on his own. He knew I like to look at the stars but I honestly never had thought to look at getting one. So I feel guilty. At least it's hard to use it from my house. I've taken it with me places though!

Have you received your new Lx90 yet? How is it? I was browsing their website and came across this: http://www.meade4m.com/join/index.html Maybe you know about the forum.

Tell us more about your new toy

The ISS is the first thing I thought of, too. A while back, you could see it here without a telescope - it was amazing.

I'd love to view lunar eclipses through a telescope (I'm too lazy to make the trip to the nearest planetarium).

Enjoy it; Bruce! Yes, pics, please!
