My mom just recently lost two kitties, Bart and Simon, within a week of each other. They were both indoor/outdoor kitties and had unfortunate accidents outside
I no longer live with her but I lived with the 2 kitties for quite some time, so the loss was still painful for me.

The night Bart (the second loss) was laid to rest, though, there were two rainbows in the sky. One was light and one was very bright. I'd like to think that it is them telling us they are waiting for us at the rainbow bridge. One was bright for the recent loss and one faded from the loss earlier. It made us both feel a little bit better, as they were both unexpected losses. The rainbows were very beautiful.

Thanks everyone for listening. Talking always helps! If you want to see the rainbows, please click here:

So sorry to hear about your loss of Bart and Simon.
How beautiful to see the rainbows with the burial. They gave you a great and beautiful sign.

RIP precious ones.

I'm so sorry for your mom's double loss. Praying for your mom, and you and the rest of the family.

That's a beautiful photo of a lovely double rainbow (the fainter bow is actually a reflection of the first, with the colors reversed). I have a double rainbow in my sig, too, a pic I took years ago on a significant day, when the rainbow seemed like a sign from my Bridgekids.

Is your mom familiar with the Rainbow Bridge story? It might help comfort her to read it, and you can find it pinned to the top of this forum.

You can find an animated version, too, at http://www.indigo.org/rainbowbridge_ver2.html.

I'm glad the rainbow appeared that evening, and that you have the photo to always remind you of it.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. The rainbow picture is beautiful and I believe it was them telling you that they are together and ok. Someday you will see them again.

I'm so sorry both kitties were lost within a few days of each other, that must be really hard for you and your mom to cope with. Hugs to both of you.

Thanks everyone. My mom ordered gravestones for them, and they turned out beautifully. They just got here yesterday.
