Two weeks ago I treated Ginger with advantage (as per the vets instructions) and it doesn't seem to have helped. I've noticed that she's still biting and I saw a small black bug on her face yesterday. I tried to get it, but it crawled back under her fur. I know that advantage is a monthly treatment so I can't treat her for another two weeks. Is there something else I can do so that her kittens don't get fleas when they are born?

the only thing you can do is comb her daily, and putting what ever flees you get from her in some soapy water which will drown them. did you treat your home aswell?
i always use frontline spray on pregnant mamms or nursing mums, the kittens if need be can be treated 4 days after their born with this aswell. i have never used advantage so i really dont know what it is like.

Talk to your vet about Capstar. It kills the fleas instantly but only works for about 24 hours. It's a little pill that you give and it really is amazing. Make sure to treat your house too if there's an infestation.
