remember annes litter? well if not she had 2 kittens , 1 black female *candy* and 1 brown tabby male *stripes*.
well candy and anne went to their new home 3 weeks ago now when they was 12 weeks old.
i have just found out that the male tabby is not a male but a female
. the vet didnt say anything about it when they went for there vet checks, but i have had to seprate her from our 5 month old male gizmo as he was showing some very worrying signs of mating with her (she is only 15 weeks old) vets in the uk will not spay untill 51/2-6 months old. so chloe has been kept seprate for the last 2 weeks aswell. but i only found out today that stripes is female. dont worry im sure nothing has happend , but she will be getting a vet check to be on the safe side. i just cant belive i made that sort of mistake , what if i hadnt relised?? she could have gotten pregnant or anything
.
anyway had to moan at my stupidity.

Don't feel bad - I'm an ex-breeder and my last rex kitten (white) I thought was a male and was gonna keep him to show. At the first vet visit my little boy turned out to be a female! I was so embarassed but honestly she looked like she had balls

At least you caught it in time and are keeping them apart till spayed/neutered

what i thought was boy bits turned out to be part of her colouring , to little dots either side they really looked like they stood out lol. i still dont know how the vet missed it. yes deffently being kept apart untill all have been fixed, not only do i not want to add to the problem , but she only just goes 2lbs (very tiny build) so it would litualy kill her.

thanx all. but any ideas on a name? stripes seem to much of a boyish name. my SO said sophie, i dont know if its just because im so used to stripes that the name just dosnt seem to fit, but even when we called him/her stripes that didnt seem to fit either lol. just so confusing.

Gosh, shes adorable! Would you want an "S" name? I think she looks like my old cat Tiger, so I like the name Tiger for her of course!
