What is your fav classic movie and why?

I tend to enjoy the musicals like South Pacific and White Christmas. My all time fav is Court Jester with Danny Kaye. I think the comedy in it is absolutely brilliant (the pellet with the poison is in the vessel with the pestle, the flagon with the dragon has the brew that is true) and Danny Kaye plays the part to perfection

Does Annie count?
I love it because I saw it at the theatre as a kid. Cheesy as it is.

Gosh, any Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewert, Audrey Hepburn, Kathrine Hepburn, John Wayne - get the picture? I love the old movies from 30's-60's. Those are classics to me!

Metropolis. Because it was so far ahead of its time.

I can tell you this: There are like some 540 channels I receive on disk. You might as well take 539 of them away from me because I always end up on TCM. My problem with TCM though is they do not show enough foreign movies. I heard that TCM will be in HD by the end of the year. When that happens, I will spring for an HD recorder.

One of my all time favorites is Auntie Mame, the original one with Rosaline Russell. I also enjoy the old Tracy and Hepburn movies, like Desk Set and Adam's Rib as well. My favorite from the 60's would have to Mary Poppins.

Citizen Kane. I loved the cinematography. It is so beautiful. Another classic film I love is the Rocky Horror Picture Show! Tim Curry ROCKS!

Another movie I just thought of is "A Streetcar Named Desire."

Marlon Brando was gorgeous in it!
