Well she's still not showing any signs of going into labor any time soon. In fact she's more playful than she has been in a while. I tried to get some pics of her but she was more interested in playing than having her picture taken.

Update as of 10:10 central time
I was just giving her a good brushing and I noticed that her vulva is swollen and pink with the teensyist amount of pinkish red blood. It may be my imagination but it looks like she's close to loosing her mucus plug. I think I read that it takes about a day or two once the vulva swells? Anyone remember on that one?

I finally got a few pictures of her today. Sorry about the fuzzy one.

For some reason it's not letting me post the picture when I hit the picture icon.

My last kitty that gave birth had clear-ish discharge for about 9 days before she gave birth, her vulva swelled up exactly one week before she delivered, and she had the red/pink discharge about 12 hours before she gave birth. She lost the mucus plug about 7 hours before she gave birth. With the first two it all happened really fast, they had the clear discharge for about 3-4 days, but the other discharge and losing the mucus plug happened within an hour of the first kitten arriving.

She really hasn't had much discharge at all. I don't think she could go another week but at the same time I'm not convinced she'll deliver today. She did come and take a nap with me today and I noticed a quiet purr the entire time.

Bestia had a redish discharge a couple hours before giving birth too! Sounds like today might be the day for Ginger and you!

While she's laying near you, put your hand on her abdomen. If it seems to get really and form a ball and get really hard all the sudden and then a couple seconds later loosen, then that means she's in the first stages of labour and that the contractions have started. The first kittens shouls come within an hour or 2.

With both of my cats, they started labor late at night and went thought the night giving birth, ending at about 4am. So, if you're as lucky as me, you'll have a long night ahead of you, lol.

Well it's 8:34 central time and she still isn't exhibiting too many signs of anything. She's been keeping her butt in the air though and she's a little cranky, but that's really about it. I've been exhausted today and am in need of a good night sleep so knowing my luck she'll probably go into labor just as I fall asleep. LOL.

That's exactly what my last girl did. She started showing signs late in the evening but I was soooo exhausted and couldn't stay awake, so I set the alarm to go off every half an hour and went to sleep. She waited until around 4:30 a.m. before she had her first kitten. She kept her butt up in the air a LOT the last couple of days but I think it was more that she was incredibly uncomfortable and couldn't find a comfy position.

We all had a good night sleep last night and still no signs of impending labor. The kittens are just rolling around and having a ball.
