First, CONGRATULATIONS MAMA!!! I'm sorry you've had so many worries w/spotting & cramping so far, but I'm praying for you and your lil one that all is OK.
I think around 14 wks was when I started to have twinges from the ligaments stretching - your uterus is starting to expand and push its neighbors around
If you're not spotting anymore, and they're just twinges/brief cramps I might not worry too much, but ANY time you're in doubt, call your OB/GYN's office and ask - that's what they're there for, and no question is too small!!
If they think you need to be seen, they'll let you know, or they can reassure you based on their professional opinion that it's normal.

You have an OB/GYN, right? Do they have an OB ER? (I rotated thru a hospital with an OB ER). That way if you're worried about something, you can go directly there instead of waiting with everyone else in the regular ER.

Plus, they'll be more skilled at using the ultrasound & be more familiar with any possible complications or pregnancy-specific symptoms.

Also, ask your OB for a list of symptoms for which you should seek emergency treatment -- u/s they have a printout handy that tells you about what to watch out for -- painful bleed, painless bleed, fluid leak, etc. The concerns will vary by trimester & your own health history.

Good Luck with your pregnancy!

I had clotting and bleeding for the 1st 16 weeks of my pregnancy with Kevin and everything turned out fine with him. The cramping can be ligiments stretching - it affects some people more then others. If you have had a recent rapid expansion on your baby and stomach, then it may very well be ligiments. But definately check with a doctor!
