Is it true that white hair by the nose and ears of cats make those areas prone to skin cancer?

I have 1 stray with a pink nose and white fur by the nose, her body is black and white but she has black ears.

If it's true what should be done to prevent strays/ferals from getting cancer from constant outdoor exposure?

Yes, they are prone to skin cancer. My indoors kitties & outdoor kitties with white ears &/or noses get baby sunblock daily, year round. It does help prevent the sunburn & cancer.

Indoor cats can get sunburnt as well!

Hi,

Can you tell me what type and brand of baby sunscreen you use that is safe for cats?

I have a stray/semi-feral that adopted me and he is all white. He has a little black on the tip of his nose and i"m praying it's not the beginnings of skin cancer.

Also, can i put it on his nose and ears? I can't seem to find any info online that is helpful, so as much detail as you can provide would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Kelly (and Walter White - my feral kitty)
