Mary - I have sat here and read your story and it took about half an hour.

What a lovely story, and how beautifully and descriptively you write. Wasim, and indeed all your kitties seemed to bring such joy into your life, and it's great to read as this joy comes across so vividly in your words.

As you say in the end, fate took it's course and Wasim did not suffer. The whole story is so uplifting and full of love and I'd like to thank your for brining some warmth into this freezing December afternoon for me.

Mary, That was indeed a delightful story of life with Wasim and all the others. I'm so glad you have such wonderful memories of him. Even though he had quite a long life, I'm sure you wished he would have had several more healthy years left. His accident probably did save him some miserable months, so perhaps it was better for his sake. Thrive on those memories, as you obviously have been doing. They are so heartwarming and amusing. Thank you for telling us about your remarkable Wasim.

Many thanks to all who read Wasim's story and shared the memories. I have been told and do believe that writing about the lost one is cathartic.
