... that he is NOT happy!

Oh the poor kid has spent the past 10 minutes trying to chew the thing off. I finally gave him some canned food to take his mind off it... hopefully that works.

I know he'll be fine in a few minutes, but the poor baby... he's not happy with me right now!

I my experience, I found that most cats HATE collars! I did have one (Selene) who loved to wear one (I used to call them her "necklaces"). And she did look glamourous, too--she's a shiny black cat with green eyes, so I bought lots of jewel tones. I even used to drape my own necklaces on her for a few minutes, just to see her show off. Sadly, she gained a lot of weight (no one knows why--I've been to various vets, and she's been on diet food for 5 years now--and has gained weight), so cat collars no longer fit her. I used to buy women's narrow belts at yard sales, and chop them down, and punch holes in the ends for her collars.

I knew it was getting too weird when I found a genuine pearl cat collar (could be worn by humans as a bracelet) on eBay, and nearly bought it for her 1st birthday...

That's so cute!

All my cats have collars... maybe I'm overreacting because they're all microchippped... but I'm not sure I trust that someone in this neighborhood would actually take one of them somewhere to get their chip read if they got out. And for some reason I'm just paranoid that one of them might run past me one day when I have the door open
They hang around by the door a lot because they see the dogs go outside... makes me nervous.

But Tryon has a sparkley purple collar and she loves showing it off too. Maybe it's a girl thing
Peewee has one with a bowtie (named after Peewee Herman - grey suit, white shoes... he needed a bowtie
) and Sammy just got a plain red one because it looks stunning against his black fur. He's ok with it now... but for the first hour or so he thought it was a medieval torture device! He's such a drama queen! But a can of innova evo wet calmed him right down
