What else glows under a black light that could be in my carpet? Of course I know that cat urine glows, that's why I have the thing.

But after going through my house after my "kitty guest" Studley left, there are a lot of spots on my carpet that are older than his visit. I've never noticed a smell, so I don't know if its really urine from my boys, from the previous cats or something else.

Your thoughts?

It could very well be ringworm. I would get yourself and your cats checked out as soon as possible! ringworm is nasty! I hope that's not what it is because it's so hard to get rid of but can be treated easily!

Ringworm in the carpets?? We've lived here for a year now, without any problems....do you think its still likely?

Thanks for the list, Pami! I definitely think I'm going for the carpet cleaner next chance I get!

I would seriously think about the previous tenants......"bodily fluids" glow under black-lights as well.

Maybe they were freaky!!

Aww, but she was a nice somewhat older lady! Maybe it was the tenants before her!
After all, this is a college town....

Does anyone else remember that show about the cleanliness of motel/hotel rooms? An ultraviolet light was taken around the rooms (cheap and expensive places both). OMG. My husband throws the top blanket off the bed the second he walks into the hotel room, and he never walks around barefoot in the room!

OMG! I know what you are talking about....it was on 20/20 or night-line or something. It was SO disgusting to see what is in those rooms!
The next time we stayed at a hotel after that I was afraid to touch anything!!
