Twice in the past week or so I've seen someone mention that they don't want skin kids, and that their furkids are their kids.... which is how I always felt, but thought I was alone in this because of how much I get picked on for it. You know, "Oh you'll change your mind" and that kind of thing.

So it made me curious of how many others are out there that made the decision to be skin kid free, but furkid heavy

Erm this is my first time posting a poll, so I don't know how it works. If its not there right away, just hang in... I'll get it

At 17 i knew i didn't want children, and my husband knew this before we even got engaged, but he didn't want them either. I also had the line "You'll change your mind", but here i am at 48 and i've never regretted not having any

My skin-daughter is 23, and I'll never have another.

Cats, now, are a whole'nuther story.

You don't have a "I only have furkids, and plan on skin kids in the future"

I chose that I have skin and fur kids since I do have a skin kid, he's just currently "baking"

At one point I really did want kids. I had to have a hysterectomy, so it didn't end up that way. At the time it was devastating, but I am over it and its ok now.

Regardless of whether or not I had human kids, my cats ARE my kids.

I'm also in the "I have furkids and I want skin kids one day" catagory. I'm almost 32 so the "one day" part of it will be sooner than later.

Well, my boyfriend and I are still young. Our goal is to have skin kids SOMEDAY, but not anytime soon! So... in the meantime, I have fur babies! My only problem is.... my boyfriend will not let me have as many as I want

It's interesting how many of us don't want skin kids..
I've never been interested in having any, & at 40, still feel the same. Thank Goodness Mike shares my feelings, or we probably wouldn't be together. He doesn't have any by anyone else, which is also a huge blessing.
But we have our fur kids & they bring us love & smiles, & that's ok by me!

At one time I wanted children. Then two miscarriages, a bad relationship and continuing poor choice in men, I am now 42 and perfectly happy with no children. I think the universe made the right choice for me
I have my kits though and they are great!

I was thinking the same thing. I mean with how shocked people usually are that I don't want any, I really thought the numbers would be in a different direction.

This is turning out to be quite interesting!

I have been pregnant and had miscarriages before, as Bonnie said, maybe the universe decided for me. I am 40 now, with 5 cats, 1 dog, a Jim and nieces and newphews and I am happy with that.

I would LOVE to have a human child. My husband and I have been trying for four years. The only luck we have had so far has been a tubal pregnancy, so of course I lost that one.
I'm on fertility drugs now, but if it doesn't work out in the end, I'll just have to be content with my furbabies. But, I REALLY want a baby.........

OOPS, I forgot my 9 neices and nephews! Plus, I sponsor/mentor a teen girl and a 10 year old girl in South Dakota. So, my life is not at all childless - just the opposite
There are so many ways to make a difference in the life of a child, we don't need to give birth to do it
