new ktten goes to vet this morning

Well I am taking the kitten into the vet this morning for his first check up.

I took him in a few days ago to wiegh him and he weighed 2 and 1 quarter. Lets hope he has gained some weight. (I think he has).

He is still trying to nurse us but not so obsesively. (sp)

He might have some ear mites. They wanted a stool sample but Ill have to take one later as none that was in the litte box would be able to work.

All our animals are getting along great. The cats and the dog play with him. They all sleep together (except the dog who sleeps in her kennel).

So far everything has been great. He has been using the litter box. He is a little more fisty then the other cats were. And really thinks he should go outside so we have to watch comming in and out. I think he just wants to be where we are. He follows us around like we are momma cat.

Hope all goes well and he's gained a little...how old is he exactly?

Well the vet visit went ok. The vet thinks he could be almost 4 months old!!!! He weight 2 and 1/2 pounds. So he is extremly under weight.

He also has ear mites so sent us with some medication and also gage him a dose of revolution. He thinks he looks good but cautioned us.

He said some kitten that are taken from mom too soon could have some social problems. And to make sure that everyone helps with it so it dont attach to just 1 person.

Anyone delt with this? He kept comming to me and trying to nurse while the vet was looking at him. Our vet said that he thinks he might see me as momma cat.

Awww, poor little underwieght mite I'm glad the visit went okay

Hopefully those pesky ear mites are gone soon.
