Long haired or short?

Is there anyway to tell if your kitten is going to be long haired or short? It really doesn't matter to me what they turn into, they are beautiful no matter what. I was just curious. I don't know about Pheonix's parents, but I know the Newts mama was long haired.

They both look like shorthair kittens to me. Longhair is recessive, so unless the father was carrying LH, you'll have all SH kittens

Newt looks like she'll be medium to long and Pheonix looks closer to short to medium to me.

That was my thought.. one MH and one SH.

Wickett is a long hair and this is his kitten pic. It was pretty obvious he was gonna be a long hair. Frankie was pretty fuzzy as a kitten too (not as long as Wickett though) and she's a medium hair.

They both look shorthair to me.
