Hope this is just a one time thing. I saw a very small pee spot on the opposite side of the box. She is an only cat, healthy, adult, never did this before. Eats wet food - drinks normally and is active and eats a good diet.

The litter box hadn't been emptied in two days due to another family member saying he would take over that chore. It did not get done so I am back to do that myself, as I really don't mind, it is just part of the daily routine for me, and I would rather know it got done than wonder and have that happen again. I sometimes empty it twice a day. But always once.

I cleaned it really good today upon seeing how dirty it was and have to say a prayer, I hope this doesn't become normal and hope she is healthy. I have seen many people deal with this problem on this site, it really sucks and cat pee smells awful

If the box hadn't been cleaned it sounds like it might be a one-off in protest! Cats are very clean animals. If it happens again when the litter box is clean then maybe consult your vet.
