Yes, all the time. I let my hair dry naturally as it gets to fluffy if I blow-dry it.

Would you ever pocket change that someone else had left behind?

I guess so, if it was just left carelessly? I've picked change up off of the pavement, for instance.

Would you ever pay for something with all small coins to get rid of them?

No. I have a tendency to keep all my change throughout the year and then put it all into my savings account at the end of the year. It may just be a couple hundred dollars or so, but every little bit helps. It's actually the cats' savings account; I keep it for really expensive vet bills and such, although fortunately we haven't had any bad vet bills for a while now. (Except for pennies; I don't even begin to know how much I have in pennies.)

Would you ever go to a gathering if you didn't know anybody there?

Not by my own choice but I did HAVE to do it some years ago while working for AID (Agency for International Development) in Monevideo.

Would you go out of your way to help a foreign tourist lost in your town?

Generally, it's just a matter of giving them directions or reading out which train is coming next, I don't tend to get difficult questions from tourists.

Would you ever lie to get yourself out of trouble?

It depends on the seriuosness of the situation. Sometimes a white lie may be uttered in the interests of tact to avoid unecessary distress.

Would you ever interrupt your hostess changing her  subject of conversation  painful to one of the guests present?

I wouldn't cut anyone off, I've been told I'm great at deflecting, I would just answer the question by not answering the question and change the course of the conversation.

Would you call the police if the neighbours were being loud?

We called the police one time when we heard neighbors arguing very loudly, lots of obscenities and then gun shots. Scared the crap out of us.

Would you ever try to write a book?

I don't think so and yet my grandchildren have often asked me to do so when I have been relating my "fights" as a young girl against social customs of that epoch as well as old family anecdotes.

Would you encourage familiarity with people living in your building?

Yes, I always try to be on speaking terms with the neighbors when I have any.

Would you ever try to jump the queue if you were in a hurry?

Yes and have

Would you move to another state (or area) for a job? (Or would you have back in the day if you are no longer working?)

I'm another one that goes to bars for a drink on my own.

Yes, I would move for a job. I've moved to a different country for work before.

Would you ever start your own business?

I'm getting closer to doing so. I think that, when I retire, I'll be doing something on my own.

Would you ever have lunch or dinner at a restaurant by yourself? I have. The worst part is trying to convince people that I want to be by myself!

Yes, I used to often when I was taking classes at the college, I brought a book!

Would you ever grow something not found in your area if you had to bring it in every winter?

No. I do not have a green thumb. I'd kill it before it had a chance to come in.

Would you ever (or have you ever) called out sick from one job to go look for another?

Yes, my very first job. I was supposed to handle the English/Spanish foreign correspondence. The manager thought himself to be an attractive Casanova.  I was embarrassed and didn't know how to handle the situation so I never went back.

Did you ever change jobs for about the same pay to work nearer home?
