Would you ever give the above family money for meals and hotel room if they had
lost their money and documents and were waiting for a family member to send
money? (If you had the funds)

Yes but I wouldn't give them a large amount, since they would need to apply for help also.

If someone told you they had been sexually assaulted ( child or adult ) would you report it to the authorities?

If it was a child, yes. If they were an adult I'd try to persuade them to do so themselves.
