I have 2 questions.

Firstly, one of my cats INSISTS on making their dry food soggy by putting peices of it in their water bowl. This is annoying because I dont want to keep changing the water.....do they LIKE water with soggy floating food in it? LOL

And also, I heard here that a sign of a cat being pregnant is that their nipples show (nipples, right?), and my cats nipples always show......lol

Why not add a little bit of water to that cat's food just prior to feeding, give it just a minute to 'activate' so the food becomes a bit gooey and see how he likes it. He may still continue to dunk, but ... don't you like gravy? Have you tried him on canned food - it's more nutritious and most cats like it.

My cats eat canned food and dry food, they always have dry food available, I wouldnt want to add water to the dry food because the other cat doesnt like that.

Then they share one bowl? Try giving each cat their own dish for their dry food.

I wish it were that easy lol, my cats and my dog all share 1 water bowl, and they never use the same eating bowl for wet food either lol, they pick whichever they want for that time.
Im sure my cat would be weirded out at the dry food being wet in the bowl, I think it may be a game for her to dip it into the water bowl, not sure.

The nipples are much pinker and become about the size of a grain of rice when pregnant.

Try moving the water dish (and you really should have more then one water dish around) away from the dry food bowls.

I have the water-cooler-looking food and water dispensers and I ended up moving them so they weren't right next to each other because sometimes (for whatever reason) Oliver likes to pick up pieces of kibble with his paw to eat them and several would end up in the water dish and then it'd become a mess.... I haven't seen any kibble in the water since I seperated them a little

This was my suggestion but you beat me to it!

I once heard a cat expert talking about cats and she said they don't drink while they eat like we do. Some cats are so weird about having the purest water possible that they won't drink it if a piece of food gets in it so she suggested putting the bowls in separate places.

It's really funny that you mention cats being picky about their water because my kitty has three water bowls through the apartment. The one next to her food bowl has Brita water in it and she'll only drink from that in the morning. The other two have regular tap water in it and she only drinks from those in the evenings. She's crazy!!

My sister had a similar problem with one of her kitties. He would purposely put 1 piece of dry food in his water before he would drink. Apparently he liked flavoured water!!
