I typed up a history for the Vet last night, apparently i get a gold star
for making it as i made a mention ruling out ringworm and arthritis, telling them about his temperement and what meds we've given him before etc. As we've been here a year it's our old vets who have the history.

Diagnosis - fleas (obviousely) & stress. Though he and Jaz fought a bit, she was the dominant one so she marked her territory and he knew as long as she was around, he was safe from the neighbours ferals. Now that she isn't here he is worried about other cats being around, even though the enclosure and house are the only places he's in. He's picked the corner of the enclosure where i've chucked a tonne of logs for scratching and peeing, i'm hoping he will learn to mark more, though being Winter he doesn't like being out atm.

(for any of those who work as an animal tech etc)
- Clomicalm (tabs for a month) - depression and anxiety. Not compulsery. We we're asked if we wanted to see if it would help Chuckie and we'll monitor him.
- Cephalexin (tabs for a week) - anti-biotics to heal up the patches.
- Clavulox - injection to prevent skin getting infected
- Depomedrol - injection for the itching & pain (which i'm hoping he's not in)
- Advantage - we all know what that's for!
(will now be buying monthly)
Mum and dad have now listened to me, that we will no longer get over the counter treatments for fleas. Tabs don't start till tonight/tomorrow morning so he isn't completely doped up yet.

It is an awful lot of stuff. The bill was $118
($99us) but a third of it was just for the consult. None of us knew that supermarket/pet shop treatments weren't good. You would think something made for an animal would work
So we're going to find out where the actual supply stores are that sell Advantage instead of what we used beforehand.

Here's hoping for a happy boy!!
