So we got the boys a Drinkwell fountain. We set it up in what was formerly Radar's special secret stash - the area behind the edge of the sofa where he hides his stolen property, as you will note from the detritus on the floor it wasn't completely cleared out when we took these photos....

The wording in the manual states: "When being introduced to the Drinkwell Pet Fountain, your pet my have the good sense to be cautious of this new and unusual object"

Radar obviously didn't read that part of the manual....

"Water is fun!"....

Sonic gets a go...

"I can't wait to see the look on Purrpaw's face when he realises I've washed his cap for him, now where's the fast spin setting on this thing?"

The Great Fly Hunt is in progress....

"I heard Meowmy say that she'd piled these up ready for recycling, I'm sure I can help. What is recycling though?"

"Oooh it's a banana! MY Banana!!!!"

"Oooooh, candy! Purrpaw won't mind if I help myself... if he eats all these himself he'll be ill"

"No... it's OK... I can reach it... just another inch..."

More to follow....

Oh that is very true. It is exhausting trying to keep up with him. The cap wasn't the only thing that ended up in the fountain, I fished about 5 different items out of it within just a few minutes of first turning it on. He was having such good fun watching the water splash off his offerings to the water gods! I had a great time watching him, I was in tears of laughter when I saw that cap, knowing that Nate would go spare when he saw it

It's fun to see/read about his antics! My cats are like stuffed animals with heartbeats

Oh My! Look at all the papers on the floor.
I bet that wasn't fun to clean up. Cute pictures of everyone.

wonderful! I love to see the kitty antics (especially when I don't have to clean up after them). That pic of the cap in the fountain made me laugh out loud.

What looooong kitties you have! Radar's got a fantastic reach. Nothing is safe.

We don't have door to door recycling collection here, so we collect it all up and take it to the recycling bins every so often. In preparation we'd made a nice neat (although quite large) pile of newspapers in the hall ready to carry down there. I heard a crash and ran into the hall with my camera (as you do
), and the mess that greeted me was even worse than I could have possibly imagined. He's only a small cat too

Thank you! I don't blame you, the last person who looked after Radar when we were away has never fully recovered from the experience, which he describes as his 'week in hell'.

He is growing fast! He's catching up with Radar. At their last vet visits earlier this month Radar was 7.5lbs and Sonic was 7.1lbs. Sonic is going to be the bigger cat, he is 7 1/2 months old so still has a bit of growing to do, I think Radar has reached his adult size now.

Oh some days I am sorely tempted to pack them up in a box and mail them across the world! The Drinkwell motor has started making strange noises, I would have thought that even Radar would be hard pressed to break it within 2 days. It's probably clogged with rabbit fur from his toys

He's currently shut out of the living room to calm down because he won't stop going for my feet no matter what toys I bring out to try to distract him. I love him to bits but he is a right little horror at least once or twice a day! It's like having 10 slightly deranged kittens in one cat's body.
