Over the river and through the woods...
Ok, I'm a bit calmed down now that the power is back on and the storms seem to have moved on. But, I was freaking out for a while. I was at work when the sky just got so dark, and the wind was blowing every which way...I couldn't leave until 9:00 and between 8 and 9 we heard that there were tornados touching down all around us, in a 30 mile radius. Now, we live in the mountains, and tornados are NOT common here! I leave work and call hubby...he is a volunteer fire/rescue, and he is out in all of this moving fallen trees! He told me there was no power when he left, but told me to listen to the scanner (hello! The scanner doesn't run on batteries!) The power came on about 15 min ago, and I tried to call Chip, but no answer on his cell. The storms were nasty....lightening dancing all around, and I know a few things were hit. I'm just worried right now...please tell me I'm over reacting. My MIL doesn't answer her phone either (they are both volunteer fire/rescue).

your over reacting

its really easy to panic and get upset with all of that going on. But the chance of anythign being wrong is really very very very small

Thanks guys! Yes, I was over reacting because he just pulled in about 15 minutes ago, is now in the shower and "demanding" his late dinner (which is beans and weinnies! I LOVE this man!) I just got worried because he just joined the fire dept and this was his first call...with tornadoes. I guess I got to get used to it. I am a worry wort, I'll admit. Thank you for giving me support!
