A couple of DIATOMACEOUS EARTH questions...

OK guys. I've got some questions.

My main quesiton is for the barn cats. I treated them for fleas/ticks almost 3 months ago now. They are due, but I cannot afford to treat them right now.
Can I sprinkle DE on their coats & sprinkle it in the doghouses/sheds where they sleep?
I assume I can also safely use it on the housecats?

My dogs & the shelter dogs are being bombarded by flies. Will DE sprinkled on that help them?

How often should I apply it?
Will it keep fleas/ticks/flies off the cats & dogs?
How often do I need to sprinkle it in the doghouses/sheds?
Where can I get it? I'm in a rural area....

Every time it rains reapply around perimeter... I havent needed to put on the animal s but I know many give some in the food to rid worms

One of the things you need to avoid is inhaling the dust - not good for the lungs.
