Is it me, or do all cats LOVE to open the kitchen cabinets as much as mine do?
They think its a game, open one, come out the other

Mine haven't figured out how to open them yet, but one of my girls watches and waits for them to opened so she can jump in.

Ari has a thing for the bathroom vanity door. Just bangs it while I'm tring to sleep.

I know several TCS members who had to put childproofing on their cabinets to keep kitties out. (Including the ever popular 8-Bit.

I s'pose it won't be long afore Zoey discovers how much fun that is!
She loves hiding from me and I'm sure she is sitting there cat-giggling as I run around, frantically searching for her!

Yes, at least mine does. I put child locks on them though

I know what you mean!!! Our blind kitty Leya loves noises. So her favorite cabinet is the pots and pan cabinet. She just loves getting in there, walking around and shoving pots and pans out onto the kitchen floor! Thank goodness none of my house guests have seen her do this!

There is one kitchen cabinet door that Chessy loves to open. He just stares inside (at the pots) and then walks away.

LOL not kitchen doors exactly, but one of my cats always tries to open the closet that contains all the bath towels and she jumps in and goes on top of them..getting cat hair everywhere.

I would be one of those members. I got tired of the constant bang, bang, bang of the door trying to be opened. Then got tired of having to straighten out the contents of the cabinets.

The day that I found my Bob (about 5 weeks old), I brought him in the house and he witnessed one of my cats open a door. About 2 hours later after a nap, he hopped down from my lap, walked over to that door and tucked his paw under it to open it. Yes, they do learn from each other!

I had the same refrigerator experience as zero9243; I would open the fridge door, and Yoda would immediately try to hop in!! One time I closed the door for about 20 seconds, hoping he'd learn his lesson, but when I opened the door, he wasn't ready to leave yet!! It made me nervous, because the fridge seals, so eventually he wouldn't have any air...

Fortunately, he doesn't fit between the shelves anymore, which solved that problem for us!!

Mine don't usually get in the cabinets. They just bang the doors when I'm not paying them as much attention as they think they should get. Well, they do get in the laundry cabinet.

I have very needy cats.

Hannah LOVES to be in the cabinets!!! Since we didn't want cat hair in our pots and pans, we put child proof locks on them. Now she likes to lay on her back and try to open them. The noise is annoying!
I love her like crazy, though, so I tolerate it!
