Tomorrow will be the first time I drive the truck and use the trailer by myself.
I had another "driving lesson" tonite for abt an hour-driving with it isn't any big deal but backing it up is!!! So I went into my neighbor's yard and backed up and turned around (she is retired from farming so lots of room to manuver)
Then a 5-6 miles jaunt and then backed up several different ways in our driveway. YIKES!!! I surely needed that beer!. Anyhow Neil said I did I good job-just have to do subtle steering while backing up.
So tomorrow I first have to get gas-two local stations I can get in and out-pick up and plant 5 shrubs-will have to leave truck on side of road-driveway of client way to narrow and hard to see backing out without a trailer and then about a 30-35 each way trip to get several yards of mulch-then back to same client-this time I will have to drive in yard (and then the backing!!). I'm going to put several beers in
tomorrow morning as I may need them by the afternoon. This is the same client I worked at today when the place I got topsoil from kinda overloaded my truck this morning and I was really afraid I was going to blow a tire-the back end of the truck I swear was only a foot from the ground. If I could survive that today-this should go well too!!

Good luck - better you then me!! I hate backing up on the best of days, let alone with a truck and trailer.

Got gas, drove around to pick up shrub, then to clients then "up north" for 6 yards of bark mulch-but surprise I couldn't set the electric brake control for the trailer. It worked last night though. So I took it slow and gave myself plenty of room to come to a stop a the stop signs. I even backed the darn thing up just right for unloading!!!

So I drove home and instead of backing I thought I would drive around the circle part of the driveway-oops drove over some perennials-at least I did it so I can't blame anyone.

Now just to figure our the brake thing-hopefully only a loose wire or something easy as I have to use it again tomorrow night and Thursday morning!!
Forgot to chill beers so they are in the freezer right now!!
