Ok, really, I hope this is the last attempt. I joined PhotoBucket, but can't figure out how to transfer pics from there (was very tired last night). I think the problem here is my Kodak EasyShare (I call it Kodak "NoShare", as we always have trouble); I think the pics have way too much memory, and I suppose one is perhaps limited here as to how big the attachments are (a sensible rule!). Every time I posted an attachment, it deleted the previous pic. Anyway, here goes...

(BTW, I picked my first pepper just minutes ago--ok, it snapped off the plant accidentally, but we can still eat it!)

Nice, easy to collect from the plants. What all do you have planted?

As for photobucket, login and look under your pictures, there should be three options - url link, html tag, and img tag. Click on the link next to img tag and it should have a little yellow pop up next to your cursor saying "Copied". Just paste that in your post, it has the img tags so it will show up embedded.
For larger pictures use the url link if you do not wish to resize for the forum. You can also look at photobuckets options and set it to show the pictures the size you want.

Thank you! Sorry to be a bit silly over my garden, but I can't believe I've actually been able not only to GROW something, but also have it thrive (of course, a tornado will probably come through next week, and destroy it all...). It exciting for me; I used to have a very black thumb with vegetables.

The last pic is the raised veggie bed I talked about earlier. It's divided into Square Foot Gardening blocks. I have cabbages, lots of bell peppers, lots of varieties of tomatoes, basil, oregano, mint, lemon balm, thyme, catnip (of course), pumpkins, summer squash, honeydew melons, strawberries, and green beans. The whiskey barrels on the left have corn in them--it's an experiment to see if they can grow in pots, as my yard is very small, so I have no space for the traditional plots. (I also have leaf lettuce and spinach in pots on my deck.) The raised planter (hubby built it for me
) is 91" x 191" x 24" deep. It's amazing how much you can get into a tiny space, if you plan it out. The nice thing about a raised bed is that I can sit on the edge and weed, etc.

Very nice. That looks like a great spot for it too for sun and shade. Plus you still have lots of yard left and the way you have it laid out gives easy access to the plants. Very nice design.

Nice garden!
Don't be surprised. I used to kill catcus!
Now I have a whole garden including two ponds. I still have plants that die on me, but usually it is not my fault and I always feel bad when they do croak.
Isn't it just a wonderful feeling to see something thrive and know that you helped it on it's way?
I love growing plants and have little baby watermelons right now. I can't wait to try one.
