Have you ever purchased a charity lottery ticket. Many hospitals in my area use them to raise money. I have purchased tickets in the past for the Princess Margaret Cash, Cars and Condos lottery and a few others. This year I purchased a ticket for the Sick Kids Hospital lottery www.SickKidsLottery.ca. I haven't won anything from them, but the point (other then winning) is to help a great hospital raise money. Don't get me wrong - winning would be great, but this way I feel like I am at least helping a little.

Do the hospitals in your area do fundraisers like this?

It's a popular way to fundraise for our 2 largest teaching hospitals in my City. I haven't bought any tickets to any of them though.

The prizes here range from cash to large scale new houses in upper class areas of the city.

I have never bought tickets for them because they are too expensive. Once I have a job that pays good though I probably will.
