I bought a succulent over the weekend and then my DH said I should look online to make sure they are safe incase our cat would chew on it. I looked and can't find them on the safe lists or on the toxic lists. Can someone tell me if they are okay please?

Succulents include a wide variety of plants. Euphorbias for example are toxic while a Jade or Aloe is not. DO you know exactly what species you have?

Shoot, the stick that was in the planter just said "succulent" and we got it at a nursery that's pretty far away on the way home from a trip so I can't go back and ask her. Maybe I can find a picture online that I can link in here. I'll try looking.

I looked online and it looks like a crassula portulacaria afra.

In looking more, I think this is a type of jade plant and I don't see those on any toxic lists so I assume these are okay.
