Sammy went in the litter box about 2 hrs ago and did not cover his poop! Saba, who is a tiny Siberian of 4.5 lbs and a little diva if there ever was one, trots into the litter room.....I can hear her digging all the way to China. Furiously!
Litter flies out of the room, right and left! What did she do? She covered up Sam's poop!

Do your cats do stuff like this????

That could have been our household six or seven years ago. Nibs (RB) never, ever, ever covered his poop, and it was smmmmmmmeeeeeeeeellllly. Every single time, though, Suzy -- then just a year or so -- would follow him in there and cover for him -- vigourously! I know it's anthropomorphizing, but if they'd been human, she'd have been bellyaching about him never putting the seat down.
Her consternation was very amusing.

My 6 year old cat, Shaggy, won't ever cover his poo. However, the other day I was on my computer and in comes one of my 7 week old kittens, Redding, he hops in and buries it!

7 weeks vs 6 years... I wonder if I keep him around Shaggy will catch on?!

Sho never buried his either... until I switched to large rubber maid containers. I have to wonder if before he didn't cover because there just wasn't enough room? He's not a little cat after all.

Tomas is usually frantic about making sure everything is covered, he does not want to step in it.

Daphne isn't too picky about covering hers - probably because Seb checks her box often and covers everything properly

Jaffa stopped covering when I got Mosi. He sometimes covers when he does a poop but rarely when he does a wee. He's the most dominant cat and I think he's leaving his scent for Mosi. I did once see Mosi cover up after him which was pretty funny.

Sierra will sometimes not cover her poop, and Serenity will immediately hop in the box to cover it for her! Serenity has always been so funny with her litter box behavior, occasionally when Sierra does cover her poop, she'll still hop in there to scratch around a bit anyway

Stan covers about half the time and Bella will go in after him and cover it if she sees it. He's better about covering his pee; he will dig a mound and deposit poop on top for a delightful presentation.

A funny thing...Sierra must have been reading over my shoulder when I made that post yesterday because just after I posted it, she went to the potty and flung litter all over the place digging and digging to cover it up. She really had a point to make
