Well....maybe not at chasing the storms, but knowing they are comming!!! When that big storm came through IA, IL, WI, on Thursday Enzo was SOOOO worried!! I just laughed at him and told him he would be fine. He didn't believe me until the storm was well away from us.

Several hours before the storm (by the way, this is how he always sleeps, I store blankets in that tub and he made it his own personal kitty bed)

When the tornado siren went off

After the storm passed, still not sure if he should come out

He is such a HAM!!!! We didn't put him in the blanket either! He digs in the blankets until he can curl up in them. We find him often in blankets and closes, especially when it's cold!!!!

I used to have a cat that only had her kittens during or after a thunderstorm. Come to think of it, one of her kittens that stuck around did the same! We could always tell when they would have them. Of course, the weather was predictable there. (Southern Wisconsin.
Oh & BTW Enzo, saw you are in Cedar Rapids, I was born there & lived in Hiawatha the first 10 years of my life!

My cat Uno just predicted a storm last weekend. I was sitting here browsing the forums and she comes running through the livingroom at me meowing. I was like "what Uno, what do you want?" she ran back to the bathroom so I got up to look and then I heard the thunder. I went out on the deck and rounded up the crew and got them all inside before the rain hit.

She also let me know that Frosty had gotten stuck in the basement the other day. She kept meowing at the basement door. Again I was like "what do you want?" Uno is not a big meower so I opened the door and she flew down the steps. I followed her and starting looking around and still thinking "what the heck?"

I was just about to go back up the stairs and Uno ran in front of my feet, stopped, meowed and looked up at the ceiling. I looked where she was looking and there was Frosty on the duct work

It took me awhile to get her down as she was scared.

It would have taken me a lot longer to find her if it had not been for Uno. I am not even sure how she got down there as we rarely leave the door open.

Cute - most of our cats could care less about storms. But I had one chicken cat - Reds. He was terrified of them. First sound of thunder no matter how far away and he would use his paw to open the closet door and go hide in the far corner till the storm was over.
