Aww...a three legged deer? Was it actually 3 legged or was one injured? Could you tell? Am I asking too many questions?

i did not see in blood on the grass, and it was running to well for it to be a new injury. left front leg was gone all the way to the shoulder. and nope did not see a injury, so if it was hurt, it was long time ago, it was standing right outside the window, and i got a good look
Probably born with a birth defect, poor sweetie! It's amazing how animals can compensate for that. I would take that as a good sign! Deer to me are magical and to see one like that, I would feel blessed. I know that sounds strange, but that's just me.

it was really cool, and he jumped the fence in the back with no problems at all
Could be a silver lining for the deer. Maybe hunters pass him/her by.
