I am going out in a little while, so I can't use my new DC 14 today but I've opened the box top and peeked at it. I've never had an upright before, let alone one so extravagant.

I'm going to do the "Dyson Challenge" tomorrow on a old rug that the cats love to roll on in the kitchen. This should be interesting. I will take photos. I will report back to you what I think about my latest splurge, I mean, investment.

Woo Whoooo! You'll be vacuuming up a storm for the next few weeks LOL

Tell me, what is the difference between a "dyson animal" vacuum and just a regular dyson?

As far as I can tell, they are specifically crafted to pick up animal fur along with regular floor dirt. No clue what the differences are, though.

Unless something changed there is no difference in the actual vacuums or suction, but the animal model comes with additional attachments for picking up pet hair and getting under furniture.

Is it bagless? If so, lemme know if the filters are a pain to clean out. We need a new vacuum & I know we've been looking at the Dysons...

Awesome! I LOVE our Dyson. I'll never go back to any other brand. I know you will be amazed as I continue to be every time you vacuum...and I've had it for almost a year, vacuuming 2x a week!

Re: the filter white cat lover - it is super easy to clean. And yes, it's bagless.
