I fostered a mama cat and her 6 kitten since the babies were 3 days old. I moved out of state and gave the mama and her kitten back to pet adoption, but I gave 2 kittens away to my fiancee's cousin who lives by me. The cousin moved into an apt that doesn't allow kittens so I have two of the kittens back and I guess I'll be keeping them.

Last week I flew back to my home state for a visit and adopted the mama cat and broght her back and now she's reunited with 2 of her kittens. The transisiton went well and she gets along great with the little female kitten, but seems to want to fight with the little male kitten. All the cats have been "fixed". It's only been a week, but will the mama cat come to accept and bond with the male like she did with the female?

The male is an active little tyke, pounces and want to play and I think that scares the mamma cat. He want's to play with her so bad but she doesn't want him too close.

It sounds to me like things are going very well. The reintroduction is still real new, so I'll bet that with more time things will settle down a bit. And....because your boy is so rowdy, momma cat may always want to avoid him. But, that's okay! He will learn soon enough to leave her alone or suffer the consequences!

Good luck!

I've been observing them some more. I think they have the same aggressive personality and causes them to butt heads. LOL They both want to be the one giving the other on a bath and they end up at odds. I'll keep giving them more time.
