After running into a few discussions on declawing both here on TCS and elsewhere, I was feeling very sad and rather down. (I'm very strongly anti-declaw) so to cheer myself up I collected up the photos I have of Nikita's claws. I.e don't dwell on the negatives you can't do anything about, celebrate what you've got and find beautiful.

btw. before I get shouted at and told to trim her claws. I do watch them very carefully and trim them if they start getting caught in things. Most of the photos I've taken are when she has them full length 'cos they're prettiest that way.

Anyway enough talk, time for the clawsies!

I was petting her and was about to pull my hand away when she put her claws out just a bit to give me the sign she'd prefer me to continue petting her.

If you have photos that strongly feature your kitties claws feel free to add them here if you want!

what big claws you have...
kitty is absolutely gorgeous. not to mention the quality of some of those photos. I really like that photo of kitty licking her leg with her claws in the foreground!

I love kitty paws, too. Great pics and she has beautiful paws.
I love it when Polly flexes her claws and boy am I glad all the claws are intact.

wonderful photos of a wonderful subject - kitty and claws

I'm like you and don't trim my kitties claws, but they do go out and have a few favourite places for a manicure

I love kitty claws. I have to trim my boys', otherwise they hurt me when they try to knead and the claws poke out, but I love it when they're long and graceful like that.
Which reminds me that Nigel is probably due for a trim.....

Everyone's claw pics are great!

In this claw pic, Beandip has some medicine smeared on his neck... he was having a rough day....

No cats were harmed during that photo shoot.

Very pretty pictures, but I keep my cats' nails cut short and they rarely look like that

Makes me want to get out the nail clippers and trim those suckers

Hehehe, I do trim Nikita's claws regularely, started when she was a kitten mostly just to be able to do it, she's used to it now and it's easy for both of us. I just need to catch her when she's slumbering and it just takes a minute or so to trim her front paw claws.

However I pretty much only take claw photos when they're in their full glory. So the pictures are a bit skewed.
