When I left this morning, I had a black cat and an taffy-color and white cat. When I got home, I was greeted by a black cat and a...dilute calico?

Puppy has, yet again, decided to get dirty. We've already closed off THREE places where he found access to the crawlspace. One was closed off multiple times since he kept finding ways around our blockade. He also figured out that the fireplaces are a great way to turn white fur into grey and black fur.

The basement door was closed though, so he couldn't have been in the crawlspace. The fireplaces have been thoroughly cleaned.

He figured out that, in the upstairs linen closet, there is an access panel to get to the bathroom pipes. A large access panel. With a loose screw.

Not only did he have pipe access, but he was able to crawl under the flooring! Apparently he spent the day wandering between the first and second floor...

Of course, he refuses to clean himself. He is cleaning Bunny as I type, who had the sense of mind NOT to get dirty.

Puppy is going to get his sixth bath so far this year. Joy.

Maybe you need to dye his fur black - he may not be happy with the coloring he was born with and wants a change.

That would make a cute comic
cat playing spy.
