This is just ridiculous! Would you be tempted to buy something like this?

I wouldn't be tempted, but I bet a lot of people will buy it. Just look at cell phones - many of them nowadays are certainly fashion accessories.

If I were already in the market for a laptop, I might consider one that is a bit more...girly. But, I'm more into the power beneath the case than the case itself, so I'd probably get a better machine, but a pretty bag for it.

Yes, just because it's cute, has sparkel, and Hello Kitty on it I'd be totally tempted.

I'm a very easy sell when it comes to Hello Kitty.

. I believe this has been a trend for years on many college campuses. I know of several people who own "cute" laptops and have cute accessories for them as well

Well not that one specifically... as I'm still a bit anti-vista and left hello kitty behind (except my slippers ) a while ago.

I might be in the mood for something a bit more colorful than the standard black or grey laptop. I'm a wannabe interior designer and am also big on color, so I think maybe something along the lines of the apple iBook would have been nice.

But it really all comes down to whats under the hood. If the internal components aren't up to snuff, I don't care how pretty it is.

Yes!! I would love to have a lap top. Granted I don't need a bejeweled lap top, but it would be cute for some one in high school and college. I hate having to stay in my room where my computer is to complete my work for hours. I like the mobility of a lap top.

i'd be afraid it'd get stolen, i LOVE hello kitty, it's my license plate.... good luck at your wedding erin, i see it's in 5 days.

I'd get one only if I had unlimited money, they were MacBooks, and it had FFVII Advent Children on it.

In other words, ain't gonna happen.

My laptop is pretty enough just the way it is

(12" Apple PowerBook G4 running sorely outdated Panther, but...it works. Ii guess I'll just have to wait for the next one to come out, which if I'm not mistaken is Leopard, and coming out this summer or fall).

I always wanted my laptop to look like the ones on Hackers. I did spray paint an old desktop once to be navy blue with silver lightning bolts.

I will say that I am annoyed that people market something as "for women" by making it pink and sparkly. Blegh. No thanks.
