Do they fly?

It's been my experience that the litters that I've had, both Chachi's, "fly" when they are playing ouside at night.
I would hear them scratching at the very top of the window and hear "bangs" up there.
Just curious.

Yes. I've heard them fighting toward the top of the window. We have burglar bars and maybe they climb and hold on to them while they fight up there.

I am confued, your cats climb the bars and fight at the top of them? why are kittens outside at night and fighting? can't you get them inside and seperate them if they aren't getting along? They may be fighting with wild animals.
