Every now and then I'll get a little message at the bottom of my screen saying I'm low on "virtual memory", and after a while, some of my programs shut down on their own, or pages in my browser just don't load all the way, and I'm guessing it's because of this "low memory" thing. Last time I had problems like this was when I was almost out of harddrive space, but when I check, I hardly have any space USED, so I know that's not my problem. Can someone tell me why it keeps showing me the same message and maybe how to fix it.. so my programs won't shut down or look like I'm out of memory?
