When I was unemployed, I brushed Harley about once a week- because he does shed a lot. Well... I haven't brushed him since I got my new job- and thats been about 2 months!
Well, he was bugging me tonight, jumping up on the computer desk, and I was petting him, and realized how much hair was coming off that he was shedding... so I put him up on the bar in the kitchen, and he sat down and just looked at me- so I got the ZoomGroom out, and brushed him for a 1/2 hr! He layed there just loving it, and when I was done with one side, he'd flip over for me to do the other side!

And this is what I got off of him.... I put the ZoomGroom next to it so you can really see how much hair I got off him....

I feel so awful that I've neglected to brush him for so long! He probably feels amazing, its like a 1/2 a cat off of him now!

counting down until graduation!!
Hehe! I did that to Tiki the other night. Now she won't stay off of me. There isn't much extra hair on her now, but she still wants it. I do think I brushed a small cat off of her!

Yikes that is a lot of fur! Peedoodle attacks me if I try and brush him, so I just take them to the groomers.

Maybe I should put the hair in a blanket and tell John its a new baby kitty?!

He's soooo much softer now, I can't believe I neglected to brush him for so long!

Bayley got brushed too for the first time, and he adored it!

You've got enough there to knit yourself another kitten or two. I'll bet your boy feels better!

Over the river and through the woods...
Have you named the fur ball yet?
Kinda looks like a Herman to me!

Most of my cats HATE to be brushed. Harley will put up with it for a little while, but the rest would rather attack the brush than lay still, so I always end up in a cloud of cat hair anytime they get love. I have some really huge furballs under my buffet. I think they are starting to take on a personality of their own. A breeze must have blown one over near the food dishes last night because I woke up this morning, looked at it and thought "great, now I have to feed them too?"

Pixel's like that - i get oodles of fur off of her everytime i brush/comb her. she loves it, too. Chip, OTOH, is not too thrilled to have his rear brushed/combed. he's ok with his front, his shoulder area, seems to enjoy that... & will now allow me to gently brush/comb the rear back, but he used to nip at me every time i did it. he's just come such a long way since last March! Cable & Java really don't need grooming, they're so short haired. wonder what little Firefox will be like... i've already brushed her some, & she likes it for now.

It's not often that cats like to be brushed. All of ours hate it except Maya. She actually gets upset if you stop brushing her. If you walk away from her she will run up behind you and smack you in the back of the leg.

What is that brush you have?

mine don't give me a choice, Isabella drags the hair brush off the table in the guest room (where i keep it) and will actually fetch it around the same time every night and demand to be brushed
smart little diva
i brush mine daily but they still shed like they haven't been brushed in ages

I hardly ever brush anyone but Damita. The others either attack me when I try or run away.
I wish I could brush the white two, their hair is the worst!

Your not a bad meowmy, I'm sure your kitty appreciated it though. Duke loves to be brushed, but since I moved to my parents I havn't been able to, since our puppy Kyra loves to eat brushes. I'm working on a solution.

actually, i like a human comb best. seems to work better on mine, as well. the zoomgroom seems to pull more. but maybe it's because i don't groom as often as i should

Ours all love to be groomed, and will herd Daddy into the bedroom for the purpose. (Mummy is the feeder, Daddy is the groomer) They love the Zoom Groom.
