Yes, do. They always have tests that have two in the box. It's like a deal or something. I really like those because you're so excited when you get home to take it, and so you take it. And whatever the result, you always want a more definate assurance as to what it was.
When I took a pregnancy test when I was actually pregnant, it was SO fast. I was only 2 1/2 weeks along as well. The box says it can take up to 3 minutes for negative results. But when it's positive, man, it lets you know.
I had 2 lines before I even brought it back up from under me.

I can never wait to get a pregnancy test. It's like if your wondering, you gotta know now, because it makes you feel sicker not knowing for sure. And I've even heard that if you start thinking you could be pregnant, your body might start to think that too, and give you the symptoms, when you were never pregnant in the first place.

I'd say get a test ASAP, because it's better to get to the doctor sooner.
And if you are, (do you have any other childeren?), that positive result will freeeak you out. I spent an hour in the bathroom on the floor just staring at them 2 pink lines, while everyone outside the door was freaking out. It'll shock you. The second time you'll be shocked is at the ultra sound. Wow. That's when it hit me hard. It's like all a sudden, you see this baby, in you. It became much more realistic at that point.

And as for all these people that were pregnant for so long without knowing-I gotta tell this story!

I was 3 months pregnant, and my best friend had been so jealous of me, because she had wanted to be pregnant. She always went to the stores with me and etc...And I had told her what I wanted to name the baby. It was going to either be Madison Raiyne, or Krystal Raiyn. (Boys names didnt matter much, because I knew it was a girl right away).
We always had a pact that we wouldnt steal each others baby names.
So one day, she calls me, all freaking out. She's pregnant. But she has had her period. She goes to the doctor, they tell her she's 6 months along. She had NO BABY BELLY AT ALL! But after that doctor appointment, she sprung right outta them jeans. She got huge just days after that.
So now she's got 3 months to prepare for baby.
2 weeks later...Her next appointment is ultrasound time. And guess what?
She's actually 7 months and 3 weeks pregnant.
She was a WRECK!
It was like scattering around to get ready. It was nuts. So she then has her baby, WAY BEFORE ME, and guess WHAT...she names her baby with the middle name of "Raiyne". Ooooooh, I was actually pretty irate with her when I went to hospital just hours after her baby was born, and seen that name on the baby certificate. But I never said anything about it.
Just had to tell that.

Much love all.
Good luck woman. PLEASE let us know what's happenin'.

It does sound like pregnancy to me as well.

Even if it is too early for a store bought test you can get a blood test done now at the doctor to find out for sure - that way you aren't worrying. And if it isn't then at least the doctor can examine you.

Take the preggers test. If your blood levels are high in hcg, the test will detect it, and you'll see you're pregnant.

Either that or you ate something really funky, or you have to go to the bathroom. I vote preggers, though. Sounds alot like when I was preggers.

I also had a miscarriage 5 yrs after my pregnancy but it was not anything like what you are going through. It was horrendous. So I don't think you're miscarrying.

Get a prego-test and do the pee thingy... if it says 'yes', get to a doctor. They can help ya along. By the way, every single woman I know was terrified when she found out she was preggers (me included) but that terror gives way to total happiness.

Even unplanned pregnancies are good pregnancies.

Good luck!

First Response is supposed to be the best. rated by consumer reports/good housekeeping. plus it detects the earliest.

are you on BC? i've been having problems finding a BC that works for me for a long time. i end up with problems that seem like pregnancy, but are really just my pill not working right (i know because i've take a ridiculous number of pregnancy tests). lately it seems like i'm lucky if i have one that doesn't cause problems for 6 months.

My oldest son I did not know I was pregnant till I was 4 mths along. I didn't have my period but I never made the connection.
Same here, 4-5 months. I was still skinny, and my period was never regular back then, so not getting it for so long really wasn't unusual.

And to the OP, I wondered by about the third line if you were pregnant - the starving/nauseous thing really is classic. Good luck, either way!

I didn't read ALL of the replies, but when I was pregnant (both times), I had NO symptoms. NONE. I mean....none before I would be ok to test for a pregnancy with accurate results. And even after that, I still didn't have any until I was like 8 weeks and that was more like PMS sort of stuff with some cramping, etc.

All you can do is test. There is no way to predict a pregnancy just by going by symptoms alone.

Sounds like pregnancy to me. Can I ask, how are your bras fitting these days? If they are getting snug out of the blue, that's another big clue.

It also sounds to me like you may be pregnant. You must be so anxious about what the results will be. I hope we're not freaking you out, and we'll be here for you and you can come tell us right away what the test says.
It could be some other things, of course. Pregnancy just causes a lot of those symptoms.
*hugs*

Thanks again everyone... we just went to town and I picked up a package of two. I'll wait until I have a few minutes to myself later tonight. I actually haven't even mentioned it to John yet, I don't want to tell him until I'm sure, cause I know he'll probably flip out a little initially and I'd rather not scare him unless I have a reason to, lol. I'll let you all know what happens.

Good luck hon
i'll be thinking about you! Also you may want to retest in the morning as well because the urine when you first wake up in the morning has the highest concentrations of the pregnancy hormone if it's present so it might be more accurate to test right after you wake up. Even so- those tests are not 100%- a few months back i was in a similar situation- i got several tests that were negative and several that were positive- so i wound up going to my doctor to get a blood test to know for sure (i wasn't)- but i did find out i have pcos
Good luck though hon i hope you get the results you want!!!
I agree too- i'd hold of on telling your SO until you know for certain unless you just want to tell him now

Sounds like pregnancy but if it is not, I have a question for you.

How are you doing when it comes to BM's? I had the same symptoms for about a month the only thing that was different was I was constipated for days at a time and when I finally did go it was pure water. I lived like that for about a month. My DH finally convinced me to go to the doctors. He had to take me to emergency because it was late but I went. They did the blood test for pregnacy, it came back negative so they admitted me and it turned into a week of test after test after test. I even had students coming in at all hours of the night and day, apperently I stummped them(it was a teaching hospital). They were even having meetings with specialist just trying to figure it out. It turned out I had a few different things, they finally figured it out a few hours before they were going to do exloratory surgery. I have a combo of IBS, spastic colon, kidney stones and gall bladder issues. Apperently they all decided to come to the surface at the same time. Thats what made it so hard to figure out. I had symptoms of one thing and then a few hours later those sympotms left and something else showed up so they had to start all over. Had I gone in when the symptoms first started I would have been okay and only had to deal with one thing but because I waited it snowballed into a nightmare.

I pray that you are just preggers but a visit to the doctor is in order no matter what the test says.

Well, I waited on the test until this morning. I just took it... and it was negative. But I'm still about 2 weeks away from when I'm supposed to get my period, so I'll take the second test closer to that time.

That is a little early to take an over the counter test. I suggest that in a week or so to get a blood test done by a dr - it is far more accurate.

What kind of test did you take? I've had several friends take the Dollar Store pregnancy test, and they say its always detected their pregnancy sooner than the more expensive ones. A friend of mine (who was a member here actually!) took a dollar store test, and it detected her pregnancy at 2 weeks! She's now 7 months along with a little girl!
