Hello!!
I am adopted a new kitten (about 9-10 weeks old, i think) and am set to pick him up Saturday. I posted in another section and, based on suggestions made, I am applying for another kitten, from a different shelter(my hubby really wants a little orange kitty, this is the only shelter that has one). Here is my question...They are about the same age and have been around other kittens..and I will be bringing them home at the same time (I am picking them up from Petco, where the shelters do the adoptions..either both on Sunday, or one on Saturday and one on Sunday)...how do I introduce them?? Do I follow the guidelines discussed in the Introducing Cats article...or just let them be together? They will both be adjusting to us and our home at the same time, and they are little, so I wasn't sure how to handle it.
Thanks!!!!

At that age you shouldn't have too many problems.
They may hiss and spit or even hide from each other at first because they'll smell 'new' to each other. But being kittens away from their litter mates, they'll want the companionship they'll find in each other.

Give us an update after you get them, and some pictures of course.

Hmmm since you have no other cats in the house and you are bringing them home at the same time, I don't see why you would need to separate them at all. Just put them both in the same room with litter pan and food/water dishes and supervise when they are outside the room.

They may hiss a little at each other, but willing to bet at that age they will be friends before the next morning

Pictures please.
