When she first moved in I hardly heard her mew, only when tuna was on the menu! Lately she's realised you get more attention and yummy things when you speak. Suddenly, when I stroke her from behind she squeaks, and when she sees me coming towards her she mews at me...is it a good sign if she's mewing though? (Maybe she might start talking human?!)

I think it is great that she is talking to you. Carly will say hi to us whenever we walk in the room and it is so great. She is becoming more comfortable and soon you will be holding wonderful conversations.

hehe, she's becoming a chatter box.

Abby is a realy chatter box. She talks to me all the time. And she especially loves it when I talk back to her in her language. I basically mimic whatever sounds she's said to me. We can have a conversation lasting 30 minutes sometimes. Though I haven't a clue what we've talked about. I suspect it's gossip about Chynna though, hehe

I do talk to her lots in her language, and i've been doing lots of research on cat communication, so maybe she thinks I can understand her!
When I call her for lunch, I sometimes mew, it seems to work more than calling her name!

Better watch out, before long she won't shut up and will be telling you her opinion on everything!
