Hi everybody,

My cat is allergic to some foods (I wrote it here a couple of times) and finally they are gone.

I cant say what he is allergic to exactly but I gave him raw turkey meat, raw chicken meat, Royal Canin persian dry food (contains chicken), Hill's kitten dry food (contains chicken), ProPlan sensitive skin dry food (contains lamb), Whiskas wet food (contains lamb and beef), Whiskas wet food (contains beef), canned food of various products (contains rabbit, kidney, lamb, chicken, beef, etc...)

To understand which food causes allergies, you need to use the food for sometime. My observations are;

Raw Turkey -> I gave for a week but the allergies didnt seem to increase or decrease

Raw Chicken -> I gave for a couple of days but the allergies didnt seem to increase or decrease

Dry Foods containing chicken -> I gave for months and the allergies increase

Wet or Canned foods containing lamb & beef -> I gave for a couple of days and the allergies didnt seem to increase or decrease

ProPlan containing lamb -> I gave for a month and the allergies didnt seem to increase or decrease

Whiskas wet food containing beef -> I have been using for a week and the allergies seem to decrease.

If his allergies were to decrease when I offered dry foods containing lamb then I would say he is allergic to chicken. However, since his allergies didnt decreased (nor increased) to lamb containing dry food then it may be caused because of some other thing like corn, careal or grain.
At least I know he isnt allergic to beef. What my concern is the Whiskas food.
I know Whiskas isnt the best food to offer but I think any wet food is better then any dry food. I tried raw beef but he only eats raw chicken or turkey. Maybe I can try raw turkey again after his allergies are totally gone and see if he is allergic to turkey or not.
Do you have any suggestions about what to feed?

One you need one meat and one grain or starch for 6-12 weeks to do an allergy trial...

So try a lamb food but make sure it is lamb and not lamb fish chicken
