Thanks for your advice and vibes regarding Houdini and the possible FIP. I believe LDG had it right about him not having it. He's shown no fever and continues to thrive. His belly still swells, but then goes down after a HUGE bowel movement, then swells a couple days later and cycle continues. BUT I'm noticing longer periods between swelling, AND he's gained 3 ounces since I've had him.

The rescue still doesn't think he's out of the woods though. They aren't ruling out a liver problem. He still has NO fat on his bones. They still have a guarded outlook to his future survival, but I take it one day at a time with him and make sure each day is enjoyable and "kitten like" for him.

3 of my 5 fosters were altered today (one of them Houdini's brother)
and will go up for adoption this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed. If they get adopted, I'll have room for more fosters. The rescue is up to 100 cats in foster care right now.

Thanks, I just got back from the adoption weekend and 2 of the 3 that went to Northern Va. got adopted.

The one that didn't get adopted will go up again this weekend. I'm sure she'll find a home then.
