Max is home from his biopsy.

Our dog Max had his biopsy on his nose today. They took 2 samples from the left side and one from the right, so he has some stitches that will take a week or two to dissolve out. It will be 4 or so days before we hear the results. In the meantime, he has a bit of an infection there, so he's got a run of antibiotics, the first dose of which he had with some cheese and hotdogs earlier (they were take with food pills and he's still dopey from the painkillers, so he didn't want his kibble). Anyway, he's okay and is perking up. He should be back to his old self by tomorrow morning. For now, he's just a bit sleepy, so hopefully he can have a nice rest tonight.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who sent him good vibes. We're hoping the biopsy results come back favorable. I'll keep everyone updated.

Poor Max!!!! I hope he recovers fast, and the results are good news!

Too bad he's probably feeling too ill to realize his good luck- hotdogs AND cheese! I guess he deserves to be a little spoiled after his surgery.

raven healed up really quick after his biopsy on 5/30. i hope max heals quickly too.

well, the hotdogs were to get something in his tummy and the cheese slice was wrapped around the pills so that he wouldn't know about them. He'll be getting a cheese slice twice a day now! He's so lucky to have an infection

Poor little man. I hope all goes well and that the test results are negative for anything serious. Keep us posted, lots of love and belly rubs to Max.
