We had new neighbours move in this weekend and I'm sure I'm going to like them. They have a Siamese and a Burmese kitty.
Burmese is named Lennie and Siamese is Sophie. They are indoor only cats (wish my hubby would take note!).

Congrats on getting good neighbors and not pain in the butt ones.

Are they harness trained? Perhaps you could start a kitty walking club! It would be the talk of the town, and you could lobby for a cat run!

I'm glad you have nice neighbours, we have been friends with ours for 40 years.

I love how you already know the cats' names, but do you know the people's names?

Hope your new neighbours turn out great!

That's great!

Oh, Topaz wants Bijou to tell Sophie that he is already taken.

Sophie got out on them Saturday evening and came over on our deck for a visit. Bijou didn't bat an eyelash, so tell Topaz she has nothing to worry about. He's a one-kitty cat.

The former owners of that house weren't very friendly and these folks seem so much nicer. Most of our neighbours are very good so these folks would be a welcome addition.

Wow, that's awesome!!!! They're obviously wonderful people if they have gorgeous cats and keep them indoors

I also noticed - looks as though that post of yours was your 10,000th!!!!

Congrats - you're officially a major league chatterox - you've reached 5 figures in posts

That sounds like my neighbourhood ... J and I know all the outdoor kitties' names, but none of the humans'. We refer to our neighbours as "Winston's mom" or "Gracie's humans." (God only knows what our neighbours think of us. We always talk to the neighbourhood cats and call them by name.)

OMG - I can't believe I've reached 10,000! I rarely, if ever, check out my posts. I'll have to change my name to "Cathy" (Chatty Cathy).

Just the fact that they have cats is a pretty good indicator that you are going to like them.
Here is a question I have often wondered although I pay little attention etiquette. When a new neighbor moves in, does he introduce himself (like I always do) or does he wait for his neighbors to come introduct theirselves, or does everybody just wait for a chance meeting? Anyway, I do have a new neighbor and I see a new cat peering over our fence.

When I found out we were getting new neighbors... I just waited until we saw him outside then introduced ourselves! But, if you haven't met them yet go right ahead and introduce yourself! I would! (especially if they have a cat
)

They sound like wonderful neighbours. It's always a relief when you see decent people moving in next doors.
